Alison Jeffries
Counsellor and Coach
Helping you to find your path
Whether you’re feeling mentally unwell, or just navigating difficult life circumstances, I can help you find clarity and the way forward
Counselling
As an integrative counsellor, I use multiple approaches to help you through distressing times and overcome common mental health conditions.
Therapy can be long-term, brief (6 sessions), or even single-session.
I also offer Rewind therapy to treat flashbacks.
Coaching
As a coach, I can help you reach your life-goals by offering a safe, creative space to explore the ideas and to overcome psychological barriers.
Specialist areas include stress-reduction, burnout prevention and improving relationships, including with family, dating, separation and divorce.
Therapeutic assessment
Often people have a sense that there is something ‘not right’ but don’t actually know what it is or where to start.
This is a one-off to session to help you figure out what you need and create a plan.
Self-help
Sometimes people want to help themselves, or perhaps cost or readiness is an issue.
These self-help resources will help you get started on your own.
I use many approaches but all my work is underpinned by the person-centred approach, as developed by Carl Rogers.
“When a person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.”
